Big week for the WII owners. Metroid Prime 3 comes out this week. Already positive reviews on this game so far from the ones who had a chance to play it at E3 and such. Also for WII is Brunswick Pro Bowling. Lot of people wanna see if it can compare to WII Sports bowling. Most say it has more game play then WII Spots bowling. WII Sports bowling had the bowling itself and four mini games. For the Playstation 3 WarHawk will be realsed. Nice choices for the Xbox 360 but most will still be playing their BioShcok. For the Guild Wars players a new game will be coming out that requires at least one of the prieves guild wars to play.

BioShock for the Xbox 360 that was released the 21st has gotten great reviews from many websites and articles. The lowest rating I found is a 9.2 from WorthPlaying. Many ratings over 9.0 and many with 10s. BioShock looks like a must for all 360 owners.

Manhunt 2 for the Wii, PSP, and the PS2 now has a new cut version of the AO rating game. The ESRB has rated the new version M for Mature. The game will be released in the States on October 1 2007. Same Price in Australia

In Australia the Wii and the XBox 360 are now the same price. Not all three versions of the 360 cost as much as the Wii but just the Core system. If this were to happen here in the States the 360 Next Gen graphics will only cost $175 more than the Last Gen graphics of the PlayStation 2. PlayStation 2 prices are now around $129.99. Could this mean that soon the WII will only cost $200 now? The Wii does have good graphics but only about halfway from XBox and the 360. Or maybe because of the motion and the new technology Nintendo had the Next Gen price set to were it should be. I guess in a new gaming generation, companies don't need to raise their prices more than $100.

New DS Add-on

A new DS add-on will make the DS not only a touch and duel screen handheld but also motion and tilt handheld as well. The tilt gaming Began from Nintendo with the release of Kirby's tilt and tumble for the Game Boy color and now will be for many games on the DS. Some of the games for the PlayStation 3 uses that same tilt technology. Slide Adventure: Mag Kid will be a bundled in game with the unit itself. No information on when and how much it will be in North America and around the world.

Hero Pack

There are lots of WII add-ons for the WII and more coming out but the one that caught my eye, other than the WII Zapper, that was just announced was the WII Hero Pack. The WII Mote snaps into the back of the Master Sword. There is a slot opening for the motion sensor on top of the WII Mote and the blade is below the sensor so it does not interfere with the motion. The trigger button is also easy to get at and the also with the other buttons. A slot in the Hero Shield where you hold the shield with is where you put the nun chuck with east access to the thumb stick and buttons. Both the sword and the shield look very cool and similar just like the real thing. Even if you don't play Zelda Twilight Princess for the WII other sword games for the WII will be fun just using the Master Sword. WII Hero Pack would also be fun for upcoming Zelda games as well. The WII Hero Pack will be out later this year for the holidays with a price tag around twenty dollars.

Microsoft just lowered the price to all three counsels. On August 8th the premium system will cost $349.99. That comes with a wireless controller, 20 gig hard drive, and head set. The core system will now be $279.99. Xobx 360 Elite will now be $449.99. Elite comes with a 120 gig hard drive, black 360, and the rest of the premium set.

Rumble Packs Made into Tattoo Gun

Now in prision the inmates are creating tattoo guns with the motors from the N64 rumble pacts. "It is actually pretty easy. There are no workshops in maximum security. They do it in their rooms with a battery(power) taped to a tube(could be a pen or a tightly wound piece of paper). The motor from the rumble pack is taken out and attached to the top of the tube. A needle or pin is run down the middle of the tube. when "on" the needle will move up and down like a sewing machine. The needle is then dipped in "ink." This is made a number of ways the easiest is to use ball point pen ink, but they could use other items to get different colors or looks." More here from www.kotaku.com.

Handhelds: Then and Now

With the up coming launch of the PSP slim I took a look back on how far the handhelds have come. Note the two handhelds I put together. The system on the left would be the Saga Nomad released in October 1995. Of course the one on the right is the PSP Slim releasing sometime later this year. Not only does the newer handhelds take better pictures but we all know how much smaller the games and systems are and how much more graphic power they all have. The PSP slim can plug into TVs and also has its own line of UMD movies and stores music. Back then if you bought a gaming handheld thats what you got, a handheld that only played games. With more buttons and colors today you wonder if you could ever go back to your brick gameboy and play the pee green color games with out the saving options.

One of the biggest story from this years E3 with Nintendo is the new WII Zapper. WII Zapper will also come with a pack in game with different mini games for shooting motion fun. When you look close at the design you will notice that the WII mote and nun chuck will be both used. The B button will be the trigger and the control stick will be used to move. Other buttons could be used for other reasons such as reload, change guns, etc.

During the Sony press conference the one on stage talking shown the new PSP. The new PSP design is slimmer and a lighter feel. The picture to the left is the guitar controller for the new game coming Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock. Each guitar is from the PS2, PS3, 360, or WII version. Notice on the WII guitar where the WIIMote is placed inside. The Guitar will be wireless and have the same feel like the past guitars.

The list below is some of the games that will be shown at E3 this year. Remember that there are a lot more games that will be shown but I just picked out a handful from each big system. All system have their games that will get a lot of press. Such games would be StarCraft II for the pc.
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, Super Mario Galaxy, and EA Playground for the WII. The PS3 will show Warhawk and Final Fansty XIII. Sony will also show God of War: Chains of Olympus and Final Fansty II Anniversary Edition. For the Xbox 360 the biggest will be Halo 3. The secound from Nintendo is the DS and some big games will be The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, Brain Age 2: More Training in Minutes a Day, and EA Playground. Remember, this list does not show all the games that will be shown. Some of the games I listed might not be shown. The list below will give you an idea to expect. I will get the E3 updates coming for this year such as hardware and the big title games with information.

PlayStation 3 Drop

Sony has confirmed that they will be dropping the price on their PlayStation 3. In the United States it will cost $499 and $549 in Canada. In August Sony will release a new version of the PS3 with an 80GB hard drive. This model will cost $599 and will also come with a bundle game "MotorStrom".

Train Your Face

Nintendo has announced a camera for the DS. The camera plugs into the GBA slot on the bottom of your DS. The package comes will come with a game that will train your face. More here from Wired.com.

The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass will be in the stores on the shelves this year on October 1st in North America. Metroid Prime 3: Corruption has been delayed and will not come out until August 27.
